    Frequently Asked Questions 

     

    When are you open?

     

    The hotel is open 365 days out of the year. Phone hours are 9am-9pm. The art gallery and restaurant have seasonal hours. The restaurant and art gallery are independently operated please contact them directly for more information.

     

    Where are you located?

     

    We are located in the heart of town. 1250 Greene St. sits on the “main“ road and is within walking distance to food, shopping, the train depot, and hiking trails.

     

    What time is Check-In?

     

    You can check-in between 2pm and 8pm. We have a self check-in process. Instructions can be found on the front desk. Please contact us prior to arrival if you need an earlier or later check-in.

     

    What time is Check-Out?

     

    By 10:30 AM. To check-out leave your door open and place your keys in the basket at the front desk. NOTE: Check-out violators will be charged a fee of $30/hour until 2:00pm. After 2:00pm, 100% of the room rate will be charged..

     

    Are you close to Telluride?

     

    It’s true that Telluride is only a few miles away, AS THE CROW FLIES. Despite it’s proximity, Silverton to Telluride is around a 2 hour drive.

     

    What’s your smoking policy?

     

    NO SMOKING! The Teller House is a non-smoking hotel. In the event a guest smokes, in the hotel or room, we charge a $250.00 cleaning fee.The guest will be asked to leave immediately without refund. Smoking violators could be held responsible for other guests room fee/ refunds.

     

    What’s your pet policy?

     

    NO PETS: Sorry, we are unable to accommodate our furry friends. Guests that violate our ‘No Pet’ policy will be charged a $250 cleaning fee and asked to leave immediately. The exception to the rule is for a service animal that is trained for specific task that does work or performs tasks for a person with a disability. Comfort, support, and therapy animals do NOT qualify. The service animal must be working and cannot be left in the room alone. REMEMBER: It is crime in the State of Colorado to misrepresent a pet as a service animal.

     

    What’s your cancellation policy?

     

    Our cancellation policy is one week in advance. Reservations made within one week are non-refundable.

     

    Do you have an elevator?

     

    We do not have an elevator. We are a historic property and all rooms are on the second floor. If you need assistance please let us know. We will do what we can to help you.

     

    Who is Teller?
